People across the globe celebrated Valentine’s Day on February 14, and Jordanians were no exception.

Last week, love was in the air, and many Jordanians spent their Valentine’s Day with their loved ones.

From enjoying a sunset dinner at the lowest point on earth to partaking in a Valentine’s-themed yoga event, many Jordanians enjoyed an array of love-filled celebrations with those they cherish most.

Here is a roundup of some the activities that took place in Jordan for the holiday of love.

Celebrating Love by the Red Sea

Mama Gaia, Jordan’s port city of Aqaba’s newest and coolest beach club, hosted a Sardinian-inspired fine dining dinner experience where each dish was paired with wines and cocktails, right by the waters of the Red Sea. Throughout the year, Aqaba boasts clear skies and abundant sunshine, making it a top destination to visit, especially during the cooler months.

One of Amman’s most-loved Italian restaurants, Little Italy, offered guests the option to enjoy a heart-shaped pizza in the comfort of their own home or at the pizzeria with their nearest and dearest.

Sunset Dinners at the Dead Sea

While February is usually a cold and rainy month in Jordan, the Dead Sea, located at the lowest point on earth and only a 40-minute drive from Amman, remains warm year-round, and this year was without exception. Many Jordanians spent the weekend at one of the Dead Sea hotels such as the Kempinski Hotel, and enjoyed a sunset dinner overlooking the beautiful view.

Personalized Sweet Gifts

Amman’s famous bakery, Halas Treats, offered customers the perfect personalized gift idea where they could frame their love in a dessert by placing a photo of their choice in a delicious sugar cookie.

A Valentine’s Yoga Class

Many people preferred to spend their Valentine’s Day at an exercise class with a group of friends, and Amman-based yoga studio Sun and Soul, which is run by Natalie Maayah, hosted a love-filled Yoga event where yogis gathered for a heart-opening flow and took home wonderful Valentine’s theme giveaways.
