Traveling is essential to one’s mental health, and in honor of World Mental Health Day, which is celebrated annually on October 10th, we have selected some of Jordan’s top health and wellness spots.

World Mental Health Day aims to “raise awareness of mental health issues around the world and to mobilize efforts in support of mental health.” The Day also encourages all stakeholders that work in the mental health field to discuss their work, and what more needs to be done to provide everyone with the opportunity to access mental health care. This year’s theme is “Mental Health at Work,” highlighting the strong connection between mental health and work and the importance of creating healthy working environments for employees.

Whether it’s visiting a new country or road-tripping to a nearby city, travel experiences can positively impact people’s mental health. From reducing stress and boosting your creativity to alleviating symptoms of depression, traveling contributes to a happier and more fulfilling life.

So, here are must-visit spots in Jordan that will certainly help one’s overall wellbeing.

  1. Dead Sea

Floating in a salty body of water with mineral-infused mud on your skin followed by a body wrap, salt scrub, and relaxing massage at a 5-star hotel spa, such as the Kempinski Hotel Ishtar or Marriott Resort and Spa, is a wonderful way to relax, rejuvenate, and de-stress.
