World-renowned chef and television personality Gordon Ramsay filmed the latest episode of his National Geographic series Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted in Jordan.

In the episode “A Royal Taste of Jordan,” Ramsay explores Jordan’s rich heritage, flavorful ingredients, and diverse landscapes in areas across the kingdom, from the verdant northern region to the Wadi Rum desert in the south. Additionally, the episode features a cook-off in which Ramsay cooks an impressive meal alongside Jordanian chef and business owner, Maria Haddad, for members of the royal family at the ancient stone-carved city of Petra and one of the Seven Wonders of the World.

He also makes coffee with a Bedouin and learns about Jordanian cuisine from several local women.

Haddad owns Beit Sitti, a favored cooking school and restaurant in the kingdom’s capital city of Amman, where visitors learn to cook different Jordanian dishes, including falafel, stuffed zucchini, and cheese flatbread, and then enjoy the dishes they make. "Jordan has so much to offer in terms of food, you see a lot of things that complement each other and if you mix them together, you have culinary magic," Haddad says during a conversation with Ramsay in the episode.

"Jordan is a beautiful and vibrant country in the Middle East that has been a trading center for exotic foods and spices for centuries," Ramsay adds.

In Uncharted, Ramsay travels to countries across the globe in search of culinary inspiration and unique cultural experiences. The series is currently in its fourth season with episodes filmed in Cuba, Ireland, and Spain's Galician coast.
